 What is Aluminum Stearate?

Aluminum Stearate is a metallic soap produced by reacting aluminum salts with stearic acid. It acts as a thickener, corrosion inhibitor, and gelling agent, especially in grease and coating formulations.

Key Properties:

 

1. Appearance: Yellowish-white powder or paste  
2. Heat resistant up to 200°C  
3. Insoluble in water, dispersible in oils  
4. Excellent thickening and water-repelling ability

1. Grease & Lubricants: Thickener for high-temperature greases.
